What I’m planning on writing about

Learning & Insights

This a combination of therapy and reading, I feel the front line “system” for people with mental health struggles is severely broken. In learning & insights I will be sharing the “a-ha’s” that I come across.

Therapies

When I started to look into Therapy, I had no idea what I was doing or looking for. When looking for therapist in my area, the profile of Alicia seemed to resonate more than most. From this starting point, I’ve learned there is SO many good things happening in approaches.

Stories

I know that I’m by no means unique. I would be happy to share the stories of learning from others who have been on a journey to “calm their mind” from the mental chaos that can so relentlessly keep us down.

About me

My name is Scott. I’m currently 50. Since my early 20’s I’ve always run my own companies and have been super involved in community volunteering.

I’ve had my share of mental health challenges over the years . . it’s been a bit of a roller coaster but in late 2023 I hit a wall . . HARD. I don’t know how many times I uttered the phrase “I can’t live in my own head any more.”

From an outsiders perspective I’m sure if there is a checkbox of things you’d see in people you didn’t expect to have mental health struggles that I’d have checked many of them. vacillating

Since then, after vacillating between wanting to give up and keep going, I’ve been on a journey of learning and therapy that I decided to share as I go.
